The Autel MaxiCOM MK808 Cons
The only cons to this model is that it may not well on some vehicles.
If you have an exotic vehicle, then it may not be in the system. So if you like exotic vehicles you may want to check before buying this scanner.
You might have to install the newest update onto your device before using it to get it to read your car. This is especially true if you have a newer car.
This issue can come about with any scanner you buy though. Because while it is setting in the box it isn’t being updated.
- XTOOL X100
This scanner functions similarly to the MK808. It comes with a touch pad and connects in pretty much the same manner, but it doesn’t do as much.
It is compatible with pretty much the same types of vehicles and the interface is very similar.
The main function of it is to reset the oil light, but it doesn’t scan as much as the Autel that is why you probably should consider before buying it.
- Tabscan S7
A better alternative is the Automotive OBD II Intelligence Diagnostic Scan Tabscan S7 made by Eucleia.
It is a 7-inch tablet scanner as well and has a touchscreen.
It functions a lot like the MaxiCOM.
Let’s Check How The Tabscan S7 Works !
Tabscan S7 runs on an Android system as well and can do pretty much all the same scanning as the MK808.
One area where it falls behind the Autel MaxiCOM MK808 is the processor. While the Tabscan S7 has a quad core, it is only an A7 running at 1.3ghz.
Also, the compatibility of the Tabscan S7 isn’t as good as the MK808.
