Want to read the honest review of ANCEL AD310? Then, you’ve landed on the right page.
The OBD 2 readers fitted on your car doesn’t work, just like I experienced on my new Acura.
Or it’s a case of reading but lacking the translation because of the language barrier.
For many motorists, when there is a mechanic consultation, the costs are so enormous.
Because this is not about function but efficiency, I needed a good OBD2 scanner.
Amidst all these, I found the ANCEL AD310 Classic OBD II Scanner to be able to fill the void.
Here are some of the areas I have looked at in the latest series of review and found relevant.
ANCEL AD310 SCANNER PROs
Some of the positive sides that I noticed while using this latest brand of OBD 2 scanner include the following;
There is a LONG connection cable to the dashboard. The 2.5 cable that helps connect to the dash allowed me to experience fast and efficient use.
The scanner requires the use of no battery as it uses the car engine power. I, therefore, found it self-sufficient thanks to the connection to the OBD 2 data link through the cable.
On that regard, I found it to have comprehensive data code coverage and an extensive language support.
The systems not only help the user get the codes in the language of choice but enables full car brand coverage as well.
The reader has four button keypad buttons that make the menu easy to scroll.
Scanner Navigation has always been my problem with the other OBD I used in the past.
Some of them had buttons with large keys but hard to scroll while others had keys placed close to each other.
The fact that I could scroll up and down, sideways and use the enter button as well as to my delight.
A short video about ANCEL AD310 Classic OBDII Scanner:
The large LCD screen on the scanner was one thing that any user would love.
Though I had anticipated a good display, this one looked nice.
My contact with it resulted in time-saving as it is fast and reliable and profitable for reading and clearing codes.
I found the scanner to be easy to carry and install.
The small size and compact design of the reader made me fall for it as I did not want bulky devices.
The compactness as I noticed, allows it to last longer and easily fit within the dashboard and easy to use as well.
It has real manufacturer incentives to the users.
Though I just bumped into it, the OBD 2 scanner has a warranty of 3 years, and the sales/ support department is fantastic with record time deliveries and longer use.
ANCEL AD310 CONs
Though as I noticed, there is a bag of goodies on this tool. On the other hand, the OBD 2 scanner has some of the following weaknesses:
It is a basic code reader. As I came to realize, the scope of the code reader is limited to reading and clearing the check engine light codes.
For those looking for a sophisticated device, the tool may not serve their needs.
As I discovered, the reader accuracy level is low.
It may not be as accurate as anticipated, and so the need to go to the mechanic may not be overruled.
I tried to use the reader to get codes but when I checked the meaning on Google, it gave results which were not what I expected, so I went to my mechanic, and the solution came at a cost.
Though the comprehensive protocol coverage remains one of its strengths, its lack of reading of individual cars is notable. Cost of car repair may then spiral.
However, as we stress on cost-effectiveness, the fact that you can reduce the mechanic costs makes it worth buying. Additionally, for those who are just starting off, the ease of connection and use is welcome. It is a recommended product for purchase.
