What Does The Volkswagen P1847 Code Mean?

The ECU detected a memory fault of the brake system. The Engine Control Module (ECM) communicates with all databus-capable control modules via a CAN databus. These databus-capable control modules are connected via two data bus wires which are twisted together.

How Can You Fix The Volkswagen P1847 Code?

  • Fuses on E-box in engine compartment, left side, may be faulty
  • Check harness connector for contact corrosion or water damage
  • Check resistance of solenoid valves may not be up to specification
  • Solenoid valve may be faulty
  • Wires to Transmission
