What Does The Jeep P1140 Code Mean?

Ignition on; Vacuum Reservoir Solenoid commanded OFF. If the ECM does not detect a voltage signal or a change in voltage on the control circuit, this DTC will set.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Jeep P1140 Code?

  • Intermittent condition
  • ASD Relay output circuit is open
  • Vacuum Reservoir Solenoid control circuit is open or is shorted to ground
  • Vacuum Reservoir Solenoid has failed
  • ECM has failed
