Honda P1077: Intake Manifold Tuning (IMT) Valve Stuck in High RPM Position
OVERVIEWWhat Does The Honda P1077 Code Mean?
When the PCM sends a close (long runner) command, no long runner return signal is received for at least 7 seconds. Execution is once per drive cycle, engine speed, 3,600 rpm and intake air temperature a minimum of 5 ºF (-15 ºC).
NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot.

- Check engine light
- Low RPM
What Are The Potential Causes Of The Honda P1077 Code?
- Poor connections or loose terminals at the IMT actuator and the PCM
- “Open” circuitbetween the PCM and the IMT actuator
- Faulty IMT actuator
- PCM may need to be updated with the latest software
- Faulty PCM
How Can You Fix The Honda P1077 Code?
- Repair the blockage or vacuum leak
- Replace the IMT valve
- Replace the intake manifold
- Replace the IMT solenoid valve
