What Does The GMC P113A Code Mean?

The ECM detects, at engine start, that a temperature difference of greater than 30°C (54°F), exists between exhaust gas temperature sensor 3 and exhaust gas temperature sensor 4.

Conditions for setting the code:

  • P113A, P0112, P0113, P242C, P242D, P2470, or P2471 is not set.
  • The ignition has been OFF for greater than 8 hours.
  • The engine is running.
  • The ambient air temperature is greater than -60°C (-76°F).
  • DTC P113A runs once per key cycle when the above conditions are met.
