What Does The Ford P1168 Code Mean?

DTC P0230, P0231 and P0232 not set, Engine started; and the PCM detected the FRP sensor signal was less than the normal self-test range for these operating conditions.

Note: A FRP PID value below 551 kPa (80 psi) indicates a failure.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Ford P1168 Code?

  • Low fuel level or the vehicle is out of fuel
  • Low fuel pressure
  • FRP sensor is damaged
  • FRP sensor signal circuit has a high resistance condition
