What Does The Ford P1000 Code Mean?

Key on or engine running; and the PCM detected one the conditions shown under Possible Causes (i. e. , this code cannot be cleared manually – it must clear itself after all of the OBD II Monitors complete).

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Ford P1000 Code?

  • Battery keep alive power (KAPWR) was removed to the PCM
  • One or more OBD II Monitors did not complete during an official OBD II Drive Cycle
  • PCM Reset step was performed with an OBD II Scan Tool
