What Does The Chrysler P1188 Code Mean?

Engine started, engine running in Turbo Boost or Non-Boost mode, and the PCM detected a significant difference between the BARO Sensor and TIP Sensor signals (i. e. , the TIP Sensor cannot read the signal correctly).

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Chrysler P1188 Code?

  • ASD output circuit to the TIP solenoid is open
  • Throttle inlet pressure Sensor solenoid is damaged or has failed
  • TIP solenoid control circuit is open, shorted to ground or power
  • PCM has failed
