What Does The Chevrolet P144B Code Mean?

This code is set when the exhaust gas temperature is less than or greater than the calibrated desired temperature.

Conditions for setting the DTC:

  • The engine run time is greater than 10 s.
  • The engine speed is greater than 600 RPM.
  • The ignition voltage is greater than 11 V.
  • The ECM is commanding a DPF regeneration.
  • The vehicle speed is between 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph).
  • The exhaust temperature sensor 1 is between 100-650°C (212-1,200°F).
  • The exhaust temperature sensor 1 and 4 is less than 650°C (1,200°F).
  • The DTCs run continuously once the above conditions are met for 10 minutes.
