What Does The Chevrolet P1414 Code Mean?

This code is set when the ECM detects that the EGR cooler bypass valve control circuit current is greater than a calibrated threshold for greater than 2 s.

Conditions for setting the DTC:

  • The Ignition is ON.
  • The battery voltage is greater than 11 V.
  • The EGR cooler bypass valve control circuit is active.
  • The starter is not cranking.
  • The DTCs run continuously when the above conditions are met.
