OVERVIEWWhat Does The Chevrolet P140D Code Mean?
P0489, P0490, P1407, P140D, P140E and P140F The Ignition is ON. The battery voltage is greater than 11 V. The EGR control circuit is active. The starter is not cranking. The DTCs run continuously when the above conditions are met.
The ECM detects that the EGR Valve Low (Close) control circuit voltage is less than a calibrated threshold for greater than 3 s.
