OVERVIEWWhat Does The Chevrolet P1407 Code Mean?
P0489, P0490, P1407, P140D, P140E and P140F The Ignition is ON. The battery voltage is greater than 11 V. The EGR control circuit is active. The starter is not cranking. The DTCs run continuously when the above conditions are met.
The ECM detects a short circuit condition of the EGR Valve motor control circuits for greater than 3 s.
