OVERVIEWWhat Does The Chevrolet P1406 Code Mean?
Engine started, and the PCM detected the EGR Feedback signal was less than 0.14v, or with the EGR Position commanded to 0%, the EGR Feedback signal was 0.40v more than the EGR Closed Valve Pintle Position, or that the Actual EGR Position was 10% more.
What Are The Potential Causes Of The Chevrolet P1406 Code?
- EGR solenoid control circuit is open, shorted to ground or to B+
- EGR solenoid power circuit is open (test ACTUATORS fuse)
- EGR solenoid is damaged or has failed
- PCM has failed
