What Does The Cadillac P1835 Code Mean?

DTC P1890 not set; engine speed from 500-8160, and the PCM detected a Kickdown request sent to TCM with TP angle under 89%. The PCM transmits a downshift request to the TCM if the accelerator pedal position exceeds 89%.

  • Perform the Powertrain Diagnostic System Check for the Automatic Transmission
  • Check for DTC U2100, U2104, U2105 and U2108 – if these CAN codes are not set
