What Does The Cadillac P1831 Code Mean?

Engine started, system voltage from 8-18v, and the TCM detected a short to ground on the HSD1 circuit with the HSD1 commanded “on”. The TCM provides power to the pressure control solenoid, the shift solenoids, and the TCC PWM solenoid through separate high.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Cadillac P1831 Code?

  • Pressure control solenoid control circuit is shorted to ground
  • Pressure control solenoid is damaged or it has failed
  • Transmission internal harness assembly may be shorted, or the TCM has failed
