What Does The Cadillac P1510 Code Mean?

Engine started, system voltage over 10.0v, Idle Learn procedure inactive, and the PCM detected the Throttle Valve Motor pulse width modulation (PWM) signal was over 80 percent for more than 6 seconds during the CCM test. The PCM controls the throttle blade.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Cadillac P1510 Code?

  • Throttle valve motor circuit(s) open, shorted to ground or to B+
  • Throttle valves that at the “rest” position (due to binding or dirt)
  • Throttle valves that are free to move open or closed
  • Throttle body assembly is damaged or has failed
  • PCM has failed
