What Does The Cadillac P1501 Code Mean?

Engine cranking; and the PCM determined the Theft Deterrent password had not been programmed properly into the PCM. The ignition key contains a transponder that transmits a signal to the theft deterrent module.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Cadillac P1501 Code?

Attempt to program the ECM with the correct frequency code. If the original trouble code appears after the reprogramming step, the PCM may need to be replaced.
