What Does The Cadillac P1121 Code Mean?

Key on or engine running; and the PCM detected an intermittent high voltage condition on the TP sensor signal circuit (more than 4.80v) for 1 second. The TP sensor signal is used by the PCM to determine the throttle plate angle to manage the engine control

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Cadillac P1121 Code?

  • TP sensor signal circuit is shorted to VREF (intermittent fault)
  • TP sensor ground circuit is open (an intermittent fault)
  • TP sensor is damaged or has failed (possible intermittent open)
  • PCM has failed
