What Does The BMW P1810 Code Mean?

Engine started, vehicle driven with the vehicle speed sensor indicating more than 1 mph, and the DME detected the Transmission Vehicle Speed Sensor signals were erratic, or that they were missing for a period of time.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The BMW P1810 Code?

Below are some potential causes of this DTC:

  • TVSS signal circuit is open
  • TVSS signal is shorted to chassis ground
  • TVSS signal is shorted to sensor ground
  • TVSS assembly is damaged or it has failed
