What Does The BMW P1412 Code Mean?

The Engine Control Module detects an implausible signal when activating the secondary air injection solenoid valve. The max flow limit check detected leakage between the air pump and the valve.

Note: Solenoid valve is closed when no voltage is present.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The BMW P1412 Code?

  • Connector to the secondary air injection valve is loose or disconnected
  • Secondary air injector valve circuit short
  • Secondary air injector valve circuit is open
  • Faulty secondary air injector valve
