Engine started, vehicle driven at 1520rpm for 10 seconds or to a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius, and the DME detected the Knock chip is defective.
What Are The Potential Causes Of The BMW P1381 Code?
- Knock sensor circuit is open
- Knock sensor is loose (tighten to 20 NM)
- Contact between the knock sensor and cylinder block is dirty, corroded or greasy
- Knock sensor circuit is shorted to ground, or shorted to power
- Knock sensor is damaged
