What Does The Audi P1436 Code Mean?

This code indicates the condition that key on or engine running; and the ECM detected the ACET signal was less than the self-test minimum amount of in the self-test.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Audi P1436 Code?

Below are some potential causes of this DTC:

  • ACET signal circuit shorted to sensor ground (return)
  • ACET signal circuit shorted to chassis ground
  • ACET sensor is damaged or has failed
  • Check activation of Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Pump Relay
  • ECM has failed
