What Does The Audi P1391 Code Mean?

Key on or Engine started, battery voltage must be at least 11.5v, all electrical components must be off, parking brake must be engaged (to keep daytime driving lights off), automatic transmission selector must be in park and the ground between the engine

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Audi P1391 Code?

  • CMP sensor circuit is open or shorted to ground
  • CMP sensor circuit is shorted to power
  • CMP sensor ground (return) circuit is open
  • CMP sensor installation incorrect (Hall-effect type)
  • CMP sensor is damaged or CMP sensor shielding damaged
  • ECM has failed
