What Does The Acura P1709 Code Mean?

Key on or engine running; and the PCM detected more than one signal on the Position Switch circuit at the same time during the test.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura P1709 Code?

  • A/T gear position switch signal circuit is shorted to another wire inside the switch or in the wiring harness (i. e. , the P/N signal is present along with a Drive, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or Reverse signal)
  • A/T gear position switch is damaged or has failed
