What Does The Acura P1697 Code Mean?

Key on or engine running; and the PCM detected an unexpected “high” input on the TUFT Data Line circuit.

Note: This code applies to models with a Traction Control System.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura P1697 Code?

  • A/T TUFT data line is shorted to VREF (voltage reference)
  • A/T TUFT data line is shorted to system power (B+)
  • TCM or PCM has failed
