What Does The Acura P1386 Code Mean?

Engine running and the PCM detected an unexpected or intermittent interruption of the Camshaft Position 2 (CMP) sensor signal.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura P1386 Code?

  • CMP2 signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
  • CMP2 signal circuit is shorted to VREF or system power
  • CMP2 pickup unit or the CMP sensor is damaged or has failed
  • PCM has failed
