OVERVIEWWhat Does The Acura B2162 Code Mean?
Poor communication between the driver’s MPCS unit and the Relay Control Module.
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A. If DTCs B1005, B1158, B1959, B2162, and/or B2970 are also indicated, perform the Relay Control Module input test. If no codes are present, perform the driver’s MPCS unit input test.
What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura B2162 Code?
- Loose or poor connections between the driver’s MPCS unit and the Relay Control Module
- Blown fuse in the main under-hood fuse box
- Blown fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box
- “Open” or “Short” Condition between the Driver’s MPCS Unit and the Relay Control Module

- Faulty Relay Control Module
