What Does The Acura B2162 Code Mean?

Poor communication between the driver’s MPCS unit and the Relay Control Module.

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A. If DTCs B1005, B1158, B1959, B2162, and/or B2970 are also indicated, perform the Relay Control Module input test. If no codes are present, perform the driver’s MPCS unit input test.

  • Blown fuse in the main under-hood fuse box
  • Blown fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box
