What Does The Acura B1958 Code Mean?

Poor communication between the rear MICU and the Combination Switch Control Unit. (Wiper Malfunction)

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

If DTCs B1007, B1062, B1063, B1155, B1156, B1957, B1958, and/or B2969 are indicated, perform the Combination Switch Control Unit input test.

If no codes are present, perform the rear MICU input test

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura B1958 Code?

  • Loose or poor connections between the rear MICU and the Combination Switch Control Unit.
  • Blown fuse in the main under-hood fuse box
  • Blown fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box
  • “Open” or “Short” Condition between the rear MICU and the Combination Switch Control Unit.
  • Faulty Combination Switch Control Unit
  • Faulty Rear MICU, replace the rear fuse/relay box.
