What Does The Acura B1905 Code Mean?

Poor communication between the Immobilizer-Keyless Control Unit and the Driver’s MPCS unit.

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

If DTCs B1013, B1065, B1182, and/or B1356 are also indicated, perform the driver’s MPCS unit input test.

If no additional codes are present, perform the Immobilizer-Keyless Control Unit input test.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura B1905 Code?

  • Loose or poor connections between the Immobilizer-Keyless Control Unit and the Driver’s MPCS unit
  • Blown fuse in the main under-hood fuse box
  • Blown fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box
  • “Open” or “Short” to ground
  • Faulty Driver’s MPCS unit
  • Faulty Immobilizer-Keyless Control Unit
