What Does The Acura B1812 Code Mean?

Poor communication between the Power Seat Control Unit and the Driver’s MPCS Unit.

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

If DTCs B1013, B1015, B1065, B1182, B1356, B1358, and B1905 are also indicated, perform the driver’s MPCS unit input test.

If no additional codes are present, perform the Power eat Control Unit Input Test.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura B1812 Code?

  • Loose or poor connections between the Power Seat Control Unit and the Driver’s MPCS unit
  • Blown fuse in the main under-hood fuse box
  • Blown fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box
  • Faulty ground
  • “Open or “Short” Condition between the Power Seat Control Unit and the Driver’s MPCS Unit
  • Faulty Driver’s MPCS Unit
  • Faulty Power Seat Control Unit
