What Does The Acura B1387 Code Mean?

This code indicates poor communication between the Power Tailgate Control Unit and the Drive Unit.

NOTE: If the motor does not operate, do the power tailgate motor test.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura B1387 Code?

  • Loose or poor connections between the Power Tailgate Control Unit and the Drive Unit
  • “Open” or “Short” between the Power Tailgate Control Unit and the Drive Unit
  • Faulty power tailgate sensor B, replace the drive unit
