What Does The Acura B1246 Code Mean?

Poor communication between the Outside Air Temperature Sensor and the Climate Control Unit (“Open”) condition.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura B1246 Code?

  • Loose wires or poor connections on the Rear Air Mix Control Motor circuit
  • Perform the HVAC self-diagnostic function with the HDS
  • Blown fuse in the main under-hood fuse box
  • Blown fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box
  • “Open” in the wire(s) between the Climate Control Unit and the Rear Air Mix Control Motor
  • Broken linkage or door
  • Faulty Rear Air Mix Control Motor
  • Faulty Climate Control Unit
