C1241 – Low Battery Positive Voltage

Meaning:

When the there’s a problem with the skid control ECU (master cylinder solenoid), the C1241 happens
The C1241 is triggered when the there’s a problem with the skid control ECU (master cylinder solenoid)

This code is set when there’s a problem with the skid control ECU (master cylinder solenoid).

Main Symptoms:

Possible Causes:

  • Low battery voltage
  • Using an incorrect battery
  • Unmaintained battery
  • High resistance either in alternator-battery circuit, alternator-PCM circuit or both
  • Defective charging system

Diagnostic Steps:

  • Check whether battery voltage is sufficient
  • Ensure battery is properly connected then check alternator belt
  • Using a digital volt ohm meter (DVOM), check whether the charging system is working
  • Reset the code then do a test drive. If the code returns check PCM voltage
