What Does The Cadillac P1585 Code Mean?

Engine started; system voltage over 10.0v and the PCM detected an unexpected voltage condition on the Cruise Control Inhibit driver circuit for at least 10 seconds.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Cadillac P1585 Code?

  • Cruise control inhibit circuit is shorted to system voltage
  • Cruise control inhibit circuit is open or shorted to ground
  • Cruise control module power circuit is open (test CR CNT fuse)
  • Cruise control module is damaged or has failed
  • PCM has failed
