What Does The Cadillac P1533 Code Mean?

Engine started; A/C switch and A/C Clutch “on”, and the PCM detected the A/C Evaporator Temperature sensor was more than 126ºF for 5 seconds during the test.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Cadillac P1533 Code?

Below are some potential causes of this DTC:

  • A/C pressure switch circuit is open or shorted to VREF
  • A/C pressure switch ground circuit is open
  • A/C pressure switch is damaged or has failed
  • PCM has failed
