What Does The Cadillac P1530 Code Mean?

Engine started, engine speed under 250 rpm, vehicle not moving, ECT sensor from 41ºF-212ºF, IAT sensor more than 41ºF, Pedal Position angle less than 15%, and the PCM determined he TAC system was outside of its calibrated operating range.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Cadillac P1530 Code?

Below are some potential causes of this DTC:

  • Inspect for throttle valves that are “not” in the rest position
  • Verify the throttle valves are free to move open or closed
  • Throttle motor circuit(s) is open, shorted to ground or to B+
  • Throttle body assembly is damaged or has failed
  • PCM is damaged
