What Does The Cadillac P1377 Code Mean?

DTC P1376 not set, engine started, engine speed over 496 rpm, at least 7 CMP pulses received since startup, and the PCM detected that the number of 4X REF pulses it received during 2 CMP pulse periods did not equal 16 at least twice in a row during the CC.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Cadillac P1377 Code?

Below are some potential causes of this DTC:

  • IC fuel control 4X signal circuit is open, shorted to ground or B+
  • CMP sensor signal circuit is open or has high resistance
  • CMP high or low reference circuit is open or high resistance
