What Does The Cadillac P1372 Code Mean?

Engine cranking or running, PCM operating in Angle Based mode to decode the engine position, and the PCM detected an interruption of the CKP Sensor ‘A’ or CKP Sensor ‘B’ signal during the CCM test.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Cadillac P1372 Code?

Below are some potential causes of this DTC:

  • CKP Sensor ‘B’ signal circuit is open, shorted to ground or shorted to system power (an intermittent fault may be present)
  • CKP Sensor ‘B’ is damaged or has failed (an intermittent fault)
  • ICM is damaged or has failed (an intermittent fault)
